Dysport is extremely similar to Botox and arrived on the scene a few years shortly after Botox came out, becoming a direct competitor to Botox. They provide the same benefits.

However, Dysport is made of different trace proteins and is produced a bit differently from Botox, essentially meaning that Dysport diffuses faster than Botox. This allows results from Dysport to be seen much quicker than Botox but will fade faster. Picking one or the other depends on your immediate needs and long-term skin preservation goals.

Fillers

Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid based dermal filler that plumps the skin, helping to smooth away fine lines and wrinkles by restoring the fullness and elasticity of the skin that it has been lost due to the natural aging process.

Juvederm has become a popular solution for thin lips or for those who want to reduce the appearance of a “gummy smile.”

However, Juvederm can also be used to diminish sunken/hollow eyes and cheeks as well as fine lines and wrinkles.

Restylane is similar to Juvederm in that it’s also a hyaluronic acid based dermal filler.

However, while Juvederm is extremely smooth, Restylane is more granular and thicker, meaning that it’s more likely to stay in place when it’s injected which makes it an ideal solution for very deep wrinkles, those sunken and hollow areas, or even for face contouring.

Both Restylane and Juvederm are great solutions. Deciding one over the other truly depends on what areas you are trying to tackle, your facial structure, and overall goals.
